Super Junior, who Seized Taiwan, has been Maintaining the 1st Place on Various Music Chart! 
The Music Video of Follow-Up Song, ‘A-CHA,’ was Released on the 26th!


The king of Korean Wave, Super Junior, has been showing off their enduring popularity by maintaining the first place on various music charts in Taiwan. 

Super Junior’s 5th album ‘Mr.Simple’ topped various Taiwanese count charts for album sales including FIVE MUSIC Korean/Japanese music chart (for 4 consecutive weeks 8/26~9/22), G-MUSIC Asia Chart (for 3 consecutive weeks 9/2~9/22) and KUANGNAN Korean/Japanese chart (for 3 consecutive weeks 9/5~9/25).

Especially, the title song, ‘Mr.Simple’ has replaced ‘BONAMANA’ (the song maintained No.1 place for 63 consecutive weeks on Taiwan’s biggest music website, KKBOX) as new No.1 song and maintained the 1st place for 6 consecutive weeks (August 14th ~ September 24th). These results proved status of Super Junior who has been receiving tremendous popularity in Taiwan.

Moreover, Super Junior released the music video of their follow-up song, A-CHA, through Super Junior’s official website (http://superjunior.smtown.com), YouTube SMTOWN channel (http://www.youtube.com/smtown) and facebook SMTOWN page (http://www.facebook.com/smtown) on the evening of the 26th. Hong, Won Ki directed the music video and filmed Super Junior’s refined and stylish performances in the music video.

Super Junior showed themselves off as the most popular star in Asia by sweeping No.1 place with their fifth album ‘Mr. Simple’ on Korean and Taiwanese music charts.

Super Junior’s 5th album ‘Mr. Simple,’ which was released on August 3rd, has been ranked the 1st place on Hanteo Chart (count chart for album sales) for 5 consecutive weeks and proved their power again as they are known as ‘Album King (음반킹).’

Also, by ranking No.1 on ‘KBS Music Bank’ for 5 consecutive weeks with the title song, ‘Mr. Simple,’ Super Junior had the pleasure of taking the 1st place for the longest period. Moreover, Super Junior won the Triple Crown on both ‘SBS Inkigayo’ and ‘M.net Mcountdown’ and has proved their tremendous popularity.

In addition, Super Junior’s 5th album, ‘Mr. Simple’ was officially released in Taiwan on September 6th and topped various count charts for album sales including G-MUSIC Asia Chart, FIVE MUSIC, KUANGNAN Korean Japanese chart, etc. for the second week of September (September 2nd ~ September 8th).

Especially, even prior to this album’s release, the imported supply of the album ranked 1st place for two weeks in a row on Taiwanese album chart and the album received overwhelming response from music fans in Taiwan. According to Gaon charts on 9th September, “Mr Simple” which was released on 3th August, has sold 287,427 copies. Only DBSK’s official fifth album “Keep Your Head Down” has managed to sell over 200,000 copies this year. “Mr Simple”, which was released 1 year and 2 months after the fourth album, had already gained much attention from fans all over the world.

Infinite’s first official album “Over The Top” was placed second, which managed to sell 19,302 copies in one month, and an overall record of 48,165 copies in the year 2011. Leessang’s seventh album “AsuRa BalBalTa” was ranked 3rd, with sales reaching 14,222 copies. The song “Turn Off The TV” was ranked 1st for sales in August, while the main song “My Answer Is You” was 8th. “Grand Final” was ranked 17th, and “Remembrance” was 18th, putting up a tough fight.

In addition, T-ara’s repackaged album “Roly-Poly in Copacabana” was ranked 4th, which sold 13, 122 copies. “I am a Singer” was placed 5th with 13, 095 copies.

Super Junior's Leeteuk has revealed his plans to enlist next year at the SM TOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION.

From 2nd-4th September, the artists under SM Entertainment held the 「SM TOWN LIVE in TOKYO SPECIAL EDITION」 concert at the Tokyo Dome, attracting the attention of a large number of fans. The concert's line-up consist of a total of 36 people, including Kim Minjong, Kangta, BoA, Dong Bang Shin Ki, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, f(x), CSJH Dana & Sunday, Super Junior-M's Henry and Zhou Mi, and J-Min. 

Although Kim Heechul and Choi Siwon were unable to participate in the concert this time, but the appearance of SJ-M members Henry and Zhou Mi, who are both active in the Chinese music industry, brought several highlights to the stage. The SJ members expressed that: "Although Siwon and Heechul could not make it, but we will work even harder in their stead." SJ, who has a large number of members, also brought a variety of performances through SJ-M and SJ-K.R.Y. The R&B version of Sorry, Sorry-Answer sung by Kyuhyun, Ryeowook and Yesung, and also the joint stage between Henry, Zhou Mi, Minho, Key and Onew also created an amazing atmosphere at the venue.

During Super Show which only has SJ's members standing on the stage, it's very exciting and interesting, but in SMTOWN Live, there are people from all walks of life and various nationalities who could enjoy the concert together. We will also hold the Super Show concert in Osaka on the 10th and 11th of December." Later on, he added that: "I'm planning to enlist next year, and before this happens I wish to be able to stand in Tokyo Dome (again). The fans liked Kangta's rendition of his self-composed song "Light"* a lot, and the passionate fans allowed me to feel the blessings from within".

According to reports, the number of fans who came for the concert had broken the attendance records amongst the Asian artists, hitting 150,000 audiences in the span of 3 days, and it holds great significance for SME. The concert, which was initially planned to be held over two days, had an extra session added in the end. There were more than 600,000 people who wanted to purchase the tickets, and the tickets were completely sold out. There were also more than 800 media personnel who reported about the situation of the concert, allowing people to experience the explosive popularity of the Hallyu wave once again. 

Aside from that, the SMTOWN World Tour will be opening at New York, USA on the 23rd of October.

Super Junior’s Music Video ‘Mr. Simple’ Ranked 3rd on YouTube World Chart! Proved Their Global Popularity!


Super Junior is making headlines by ranking No.3 on YouTube world chart with the music video of their 5th album title song ‘Mr. Simple.’

The music video of ‘Mr. Simple,’ which was released on August 4th through YouTube, ranked third on YouTube ‘Most Viewed Videos’ of this month (July 31st ~ August 30th) after foreign pop stars, Lady Gaga and Kanye West, and proved Super Junior’s global popularity once again. 

In addition, the music video of ‘Mr. Simple’ won the first place on ‘Most Discussed Videos’ (July 31st ~ August 30th) and it is in the upper ranks of ‘Most Liked’ and ‘Top Favorited’ charts (July 31st ~ August 30th).

Moreover, Super Junior’s 5th album title song, ‘Mr. Simple,’ took the first place on both daily and weekly chart (August 21st ~ August 27th) of KKBOX Korean Music TOP 100 Chart, which is the largest online music website in Taiwan. Therefore, Super Junior replaced their previous song ‘BONAMANA,’ which was ranked no.1 for sixty-three consecutive weeks, with their new song ‘Mr. Simple’ and proved their explosive popularity in Taiwan.
